Fed clash over scrapping climate risk guidance
In a joint statement, the Fed and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) said they 'do not believe principles for managing climate-related financial risk are necessary.' Fed governor Christopher Waller used unusually blunt language to voice his approval for the move: 'Good riddance.'
