Trump’s UK visit: Weakened Starmer rolls out red carpet — live updates
U.S. President Donald Trump is back in the U.K. for a doubly groundbreaking trip — the first state reception of a U.S. president at Windsor Castle, and the first time a U.S. president has been honored with two state visits.
On Thursday, he heads to Chequers, the prime minister’s official country residence, while first lady Melania Trump spends time with Queen Camilla and Princess Kate. The president teased his willingness to help increasingly embattled U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer “get a little bit better deal” on trade.
Also on the agenda: Ukraine, technology and potentially the crisis in Gaza. We’ll be following the action live all day.
