The MyFrenchLife™ French BookClub is back. DISCUSSION EVENT: 7 & 8 NOVEMBER 2026

We’ve started reading Live Fast (Vivre Vite) by Brigitte Giraud, 2022 Prix Goncourt winner. I’ll be hosting, together with returning co-host and valued contributor Keith Van Sickle, who suggested this book.

This interesting book describes the chain of events that led to the fatal 1999 motorcycle accident of Giraud’s partner Claude. Written in 23 brief “what if” chapters, it shows how tiny decisions can have enormous consequences. Live Fast is an exploration of profound loss and lasting love that Le Monde calls “luminous and vibrant with love.”
